Films will be shown in groups in two different seatings per evening. Each film was reviewed by our five jurors and determined to be of good quality and interesting subject matter. We encourage you to read the selections and choose which films you'd like to see.

To make their divorce final, a Quaker couple must follow tradition by seeking out everyone who came to their wedding...and asking them to cross their names off the marriage certificate.

Forest of Echoes

Narrative Short

30 minutes, subtitled.

A teenager, Christina, loses her friends in the forest. Looking for them she finds the bodies of three drowned kids on the shore of a lagoon. On summer holiday, deep in the woods, three kids, cousins, are playing around a lake when they find a drowned young woman drifting in the water. Games, lies and rituals unfolding into a circular time in which death loses its ultimacy. What is real and what is a mirage? Who is dreaming and who is being dreamed?

The Last Compartment

Narrative Feature

103 minutes, subtitled.

After their train is hit by an avalanche in the alps, 30 year old Greta and five strangers find themselves trapped in the last car of a train, buried underneath the snow.

All Films Shown at Hollywood Palms Cinema

Come see our films in the luxurious seats and whimsically decorated theatres of Hollywood Palms (map, directions).
 
Enjoy a drink beforehand and full food service during the show in big, comfy recliners.
 
The festival films are shown in one of the main floor theatres. The ECU films are shown in the upstairs theatre.
An usher will direct you to the proper theatre for your choice of seating.
