Founded by Edmond Coisson (also Executive Director), Glessna Coisson (also Executive Director), Gary Pradel, and Daniel Nigg in 2007, NIFF begins its third year happy and optimistic that even more entries will be received and that more people with attend in 2010.
Attendance has increased from 150 in 2008 to 1500 in 2009 to 3000 in 2010, and Last year we saw a increase in attendance that was over 30%... and that's unbelievable!
"We have upped our game in getting the word out about the festival and all that it offers. We are advertising more, involving the Naperville and nearby communities to help with flyer reproductions and distribution, expanding the volunteer program, adding seminars facilitated by noted local film professionals, and this year, implementing the internship program for high school seniors and college students. This coming festival proves to be an exciting and busy one! We are involving Naperville more and more each year. The merchants have been supportive and we love having them along for this wonderful ride!"
Melissa designed the "Frequent Flyer Program" for the local merchants who want to participate, but have had a tough year financially.
"We are asking our local merchants to become a member of our Frequent Flyer Program simply by making photocopies of the 2010 poster and leaving them out or attaching it to their products. My goal is 10,000 flyers. This is only 20 reams of paper!"
